School group tours (through K12) are available Monday through Friday but must be scheduled at least a month in advance.

Private Custom Group Tours, led by experienced subject matter experts, are available for a fee/donation.
These tours offer unique in depth content tailored to your desired areas of interest and are available on dates and times convenient to you and guide availabity.

The Locks are impressive when seen from the water. We recommend either Argosy Cruises or Ballard Kayaks...Proud Supporters of the Locks.
To schedule a tour at other times, you might want to consider a Custom Private Group Tour (See below).
Due to reduced staffing, free weekend tours have been canceled. Free tours are only available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday through the end of September. Free tours start at 2:00 pm at the visitor center and last about an hour. You can join these tours anytime, reservations are not required. .
